Succulents and Cacti

Easy care plants which require bright, indirect light and some varieties will want or can take full direct sun.  Always get a new plant used to direct sunlight gradually, beginning with early morning sun.  Even “full sun” plants will burn if they’ve never been exposed to direct sunlight.

Most varieties require the “drought/flood” watering method.  Let the soil dry out completely between waterings, then when you water, water THOROUGHLY, letting water run through the drainage holes several times to be sure to thoroughly wet all roots.  Then allow to dry out again before watering again.  Also, be sure to water the SOIL, not the leaves or in the crowns of the leaves as many of these plants are prone to rot if left with sitting water.
